As we began a new millennium, I decided to make some sweeping changes in my life.

One of those important changes was to return to my original career goal of teaching adults. Returning to school has been the important first step toward reaching that goal. Previously, I had earned my A.A. from Tulsa Junior College (Now Tulsa Community College) in 1988, and my B.A. in English from Northeastern State University (Tahlequah, OK) in 1990.

Then, in 2002, I returned to school and earned my M.A. in Adult Education and Distance Learning from the University of Phoenix Online in July of 2004. I have now been at Capella University (Online), in the Instructional Design for Online Learning program since August of 2004, and plan to complete my Ph.D. by summer of 2008.

I enjoy working as a volunteer, for Junior Achievement teaching Success Skills to high school students, and for the Ruth G. Hardman Adult Literacy Service teaching Student Orientation Sessions, and assisting students in English as a second language.  I am also a member of Toastmasters International, and work full-time for a small life insurance company in customer service.

I have lived mostly in the Tulsa, OK area for about twenty-four years.  Prior to that, I grew up in Nevada and Wyoming.  Altogether, I have four years experience in teaching, and sixteen years experience in financial services customer service.
